The Boboli Gardens
The Boboli Gardens, located behind the Pitti Palace, is the most famous park of the city of Florence. For nearly four centuries it was the garden of the residence of the Grand Dukes of Tuscany and for a short period of the kings of Italy. The Medici family worked at first on its layout, creating the model of an “Italian garden”, which was a source of inspiration for many European courtyards.
The vast green area, divided evenly, creates a true open-air museum, decorated with antique and Renaissance statues and decorated with large fountains and grottos, including the beautiful Grotta del Buontalenti. Its charming pathways allow you to capture the spirit of life at court. The Boboli Gardens are without doubt a stop for those who want to learn about the fascinating history of the city of Florence.
