The first, costs € 1.00, and is available in English, Italian, French and Japanese and does not include the display of Codex Atlanticus, the second, more updated and technological (equipment supplied by the museum), available in English and Italian at the cost of € 3.00, provides both written and spoken explanations being, therefore, optimal for those with hearing and visual disabilities. Additionally, it includes pages of the Codex Atlanticus (only written explanations).
The Pinacoteca Ambrosiana is difficult of access for wheelchair users, since many rooms are connected to each other by stairs and an elevator that only connects the ground floor with the first floor (the structure is developed on 4 levels). So the wheelchair users have the opportunity to visit the first floor (excluding the halls for the “Basket of Fruit” and the “School of Athens”) and the ground floor, including the Codex Atlanticus.
On the ground floor of the Library are the accessable toilets.
On the ground floor there is a bookshop which sells paper guides in different languages and gadgets / souvenirs.
