How to get to the Vatican Museums and how to park nearby especially for those who are for the first time in Rome, it may appear difficult. In fact the Vatican Museums are easily reachable by public transportation (subway and bus) and with both private transport (Taxi).
The Vatican Museums are located in Viale Vaticano (00165 Rome). Departing from Termini you can take the Metro Line A in direction Battistini. The two closest stops to the Vatican Museums are: Ottaviano-Vatican Museum and Cyprus both are within a 10 minutes walk from the museums.
In front of the entrance of the Vatican Museums, there is the stop of bus 49 and in Piazza Risorgimento (5 minutes walk) the lat stop of Bus 32, 81 and 982.
For those arriving in Rome by plane it is advisable to travel from the airport to the central station of Rome Termini, where you can take a Bus, the Metro or aTaxi which will take you to the Vatican Museums.
