Guided Tour of Tivoli, Villa Adriana and Villa d’Este

The Guided Tour of Tivoli, Villa Adriana and Villa d’Este will allow you to visit two splendid villas of two different historical periods: Villa Adriana and Villa d’Este.

Just 30 km at the east of Rome, at the foot of the Monti Tiburtini is Tivoli, famous throughout the world for its soothing spring of water protected from Sibilla Albunea Tiburtina, the nymph of the sulfur source.

Villa Adriana was built in an area rich of limestone caves, travertine and sulfur springs, used for baths. To remember the monuments and sites admired during his tips, the emperor Hadrian, built the villa in oriental style. Today, the ruins still show the grandeur of the past.

Villa d’Este, commissioned by Cardinal Ippolito d’Este, is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful residences of the Italian Renaissance, surrounded by a charming Italian garden is animated by innumerable fountains that enliven the villa with special water features.
